Modernization of the Workers’ Compensation Act and Occupational Health and Safety Act
The Yukon Workers’ Compensation Health and Safety Board (YWCHSB) on behalf of the Government of Yukon is conducting a public engagement about modernizing the Workers’ Compensation Act and the Occupational Health and Safety Act.
The engagement will offer the opportunity for our stakeholders and members of the public to provide input on how to improve the workers’ compensation and occupational health and safety systems now and for the future.
How to contribute
Your participation in this full review of the Workers’ Compensation Act and the Occupational Health and Safety Act is integral to its success. To ensure you have an opportunity to contribute, we are offering various ways to participate:
Attend a public open house. We’ve scheduled public facilitated open houses in Whitehorse and several communities.
Write it down. Some participants may prefer to provide a written submission, either instead of or in addition to, group or individual meetings. We welcome this and will review all written submissions. Send us your suggestions via email at wcb-cs@gov.yk.ca or by dropping your submission off to 401 Strickland Street by January 16, 2020.
Answer questions. Complete our survey. Answer a short survey that focusses on the policy issues being discussed at the group meetings and public sessions. A second survey will be posted in early 2020.
