Safety Build Contest 2020

Stay home – stay safe

Yukon Workers’ Compensation Health and Safety Board invites students to enter three Safety Build contests for a chance to win safety-themed LEGO® kits with mini-figures! All entries will be entered for the grand prize draw.

How do students enter?

1. Build a safety scene using LEGO® models, recycling, craft supplies, stuff from nature (whatever you can find!) that show how you keep safe. Every two weeks a new contest starts. Each contest has a theme for your safety scene.

Contest 1: April 20 to May 3

  • What is something you can do to stay healthy?
  • Winner: Camille, Grade 5

Contest 2: May 4 to 17

Contest 3: May 18 to 31

  • What is something you do to stay active and keep safe when you are doing it?

2. Label and tell us about the build. On big sticky notes, students should use markers to write:

  • What their activity is, the dangers and how kids can keep safe.

3. Photograph the build and sticky notes, or record a video about your build.

4. Send the photo by text to (867) 689-1515 or email to wcb-cs@gov.yk.ca. If you recorded a video, send us a link to it on your YouTube channel.
