CHOICES is one of the simplest ways to obtain a credit on your assessment premiums. You enrol by ticking the appropriate checkbox on your annual Employer Payroll Return, which is due every February 28 (February 29 on a leap year).
If your business has obtained its Certificate of Recognition (COR) or Small Employer Certificate of Recognition (SECOR) you are entitled to a 10-per-cent discount on assessments.
Non-certified employers can also obtain a rebate.
Once a non-certified employer demonstrates compliance with the specified work-related safety and/or return-to-work training required for their industry to a third-party provider, they will qualify for a rebate ranging from four to six per cent.
The minimum rebate is $75. The maximum rebate is $25,000.

To receive the CHOICES rebate, the employer’s account must be in good standing and there can be no outstanding penalties, orders or payments.
