General Information
Board of Directors’ policies are public written documents that provide guidance to decision-makers in interpreting the Workers’ Compensation Act, S.Y. 2008 (the "Act") and give authority for the expenditure of funds. The policies are binding on the Board of Directors, the Workers’ Compensation Appeal Tribunal (Tribunal), decision-makers administering the Act, employers, workers and dependents of deceased workers.
Purpose
This policy outlines how the policies established by the Board of Directors will be applied, in order to ensure consistency in decision-making and that the objectives of the Act are being met.
