How much does coverage cost?

Sorry, but there is no straightforward answer to this question.

It depends on several factors.

The average assessment rate serves as a guide, but only that. Your rate will be higher or lower depending on your industry group. (You can find this year’s average assessment rate here.)

So what is your industry group? What is the group’s claims performance over the last while – has its safety record been good or bad? (Industry groups are here.)

What is your business’ gross payroll? And what is the maximum assessable payroll this year.

Do you qualify for CHOICES? Do you have your Certificate of Recognition or your Small Employer Certificate of Recognition? If so, you might get a discount.

Even a non-certified employer can shave some money off their assessment bill by demonstrating compliance with work-related safety and/or return to work training.

All of these factors will influence your annual assessment premiums.

So it is not easy to answer.

But we’re more than willing to help you find out.
